Santa Cops

What is Santa Cops? The Flower Mound Police Department and the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association have joined together to bring the Santa Cops program to Flower Mound.

The program will collect donations and gifts and distribute them at Christmas to children in Flower Mound that might have otherwise not received a gift from "Santa." Families and their children are selected only from the Flower Mound community.

Santa Cops is designed to be an outlet for those that want to make Christmas brighter for a child as well as a positive interaction between the Flower Mound Police Department and those children that might perceive law enforcement in a negative light. The program has been successful through the United States and Texas, fostering the idea that law enforcement does "serve" as well as protect.

What can I do to help? The FMPD and the FMCPAAA are setting up collection boxes to receive new gifts for the families sponsored through this program. Collection boxes will remain available until mid-December. The gifts will then be wrapped and prepared for distribution prior to Christmas Eve by uniformed officers and members of the FMCPAAA.

What about cash contributions? YES!, your cash (or check) contribution is welcome and will be used to purchase those items for kids not otherwise donated in the drop boxes. Please mail checks (no cash, please) to FMCPAAA Santa Cops, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane, Flower Mound, TX 75028 (make sure to put "Santa Cops" on the outside of the envelope). Or, if you wish to donate cash, please stop by the front desk of the Police Station, and leave a sealed envelope with your cash contribution and it will graciously accepted.

Where are the boxes? You will find donation boxes at the Police Department (main lobby), each of the three fire stations, Town Hall, the Library, our two Kroger stores, and Chili's south (3040 at 2499). Please check back as additional locations may be added.
